Orchestra Boosters of Grand Haven

 

WELCOME to the Orchestra Boosters of Grand Haven (OBGH) website. We are the proud supporters of the Grand Haven Orchestra Program. The OBGH is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of educational excellence through music and the support of an exceptional orchestra program. We welcome all parents of students enrolled in any of our orchestras or ensembles as well as all friends and supporters of the program.  

 

The OBGH helps to provide financial support for the Grand Haven Orchestra Program through various fundraising and support activities.  The Board meets quarterly with meetings of the entire membership being held twice each year. There are no membership dues.  

 

We welcome the involvement of all parents and greatly appreciate those difference makers that donate their time and effort to help make the Grand Haven Orchestra Program the premiere school orchestra program of West Michigan.

Annual projects include distribution of concert programs, instrumental equipment and uniform purchases, website and social media marketing regarding orchestra events, administration of our private lesson rebate program, summer camp scholarships, multiple fundraisers, and maintenance of family Scrip Gift Card accounts and reimbursements.  Our primary fundraiser is the Scrip Gift Card Program, which benefits any student within the GHAPS family (not just orchestra!) and operates year round.  

 

OUR MISSION

 

  • To devote its energies to the promotion of the Orchestra Program in the Grand Haven Area Public School District and community.

  • To encourage students in the program to strive for greater achievement in our orchestra.

  • To provide that all monies realized by the Booosters will be used to further the Orchestra Department of Grand Haven Area Public Schools.

  • To promote co-operation and fellowship between the directors, orchestra members, their parents, school administration and the Board of Education.
